Are we currently witnessing mass hysteria?

I noticed that about ITV. My view is that this is a perfect example of media manipulation of the great unwashed.

Not really - Personally I dont understand why as anyone who can get those channels gets ITV normal, maybe just a mark of respect. But people are able to a) watch another channel not showing the ceremony, b) watch catchup/dvd/download or c) turn off the TV and watch something else!

I just think it's lazy programming, no disrespect intended. The programme controllers (of BBC, ITV and Sky) decided that most people would, or perhaps should, be watching the coverage and therefore they wouldn't offer any worthwhile alternatives for those who weren't interested.

I know that NHS staff hated the whole clapping thing.
Just another bit of Mr Johnson inspired BS that like him was utterly pointless
as a nurse i used to hate it...especially as they were out clapping etc as it coincided with me getting in from work and was stripping down to my undies on the step..quite off putting being practically naked on the step and your neighbours watching and clapping ..im being flippant of course, now we have food banks set up for hospital staff ...funny old world isnt it
