Things on the forums seem to take much longer to sell now, is the credit crunch having a huge effect?

I sold a few things recently and it all went the same day :shrug:
 
what should mint condition 2nd hand 30d be priced at?

before they were selling no problem at £310, mines at £309 and no interest

I think the recent £550 (before cashback) 40d's have hurt the second hand market of 20d's and 30d's to be honest, plus i think the 450d is selling really well.

Have you checked completed listings on ebay?
 
i tried ebay twice but got hit both times by fraud,

They go for around £325 +postage normally,

Just i hate ebay so would rather charge less but there is no interest,
 
Yeah i hate ebay, but tend to use it as a guage as to pricing, nothing more.

Stuff on ebay tends to go for around 20% more than you would get on the forums, as people get carried away with themselves :lol:
 
I have sold a couple of lenses recently, they were not there over long but I had priced them to sell. I agree with Chillimonster in that a lot of people have upgraded to (In the case of Canon) the 40D or 450D recently because of the cashback and thats released a lot of 20/30D type bodies onto the market and buyers have plenty to choose from. Not much you can do really other than try fleabay and hope a couple of people get a bit over enthusiastic on the bidding!
