Arcs Swiss ball heads

So while I know I might get slaughtered for a stupid question I have bought a grip for my Fuji which is the above style.

I'm used to screw in or manfrotto quick release style so what I'm wondering is do I need a new head or does anyone know if you can attach a plate to my existing manfrotto head.

I'm sure our friends in china will have one but im looking for recommendations of Ines people have used.

I switched heads, but there are a variety of adaptors available. Manfrotto have their own adaptors for converting their heads (look up their Q6 Top Lock system).

You may end up wanting a new head at some point to neaten things up and remove as many joints as possible but in the meantime there are loads of different options that might work well.

On my geared head, I've fitted one of these to the manfrotto plate.

You simply unscrew the lower arca plate that comes with it and screw your manfrotto plate on instead. In my case I used a little thread lock too as a semi permanent solution. The other thing I would suggest in this scenario is that you wrap a cable tie around the manfrotto quick release lever so that it cannot be accidentally removed and then just take the camera on and off using the arca clamp.

Nice thing about the one I linked to is that it's quite handy having a rotating head if you're into panoramas.

I have something similar in the car but simpler without the rotation assuming the fewer moving bits the better. I also have the other way, all stacked together. Think I got the idea from someone here and it's quite handy. Most of my stuff is Arca Swiss but still have a couple of Manfrotto heads.

If you're lucky your head will just have a bolt to allow you to swap the release permanently.

Thanks for the suggestions and links folks. I can see me selling the geared head as I doubt I'll need the weight control I needed with my canon
