I seem to have neglected my computer recently and have only just realised I am down to my last few remaining GB of storage!

It's probably about time it had a fresh windows re installation, so before I do I need to work out a long term plan for freeing up disk space.

Currently I use a pair of 1TB drives mirrored for data storage, with an SD drive for the OS and main software. Currently I have years and years worth of photos, which is obviously the main culprit for hogging disk space, including past years weddings which I need to keep safe, but don't need immediate access to at all times.

So it would make sense to archive past years work, and keep the drives fresh for the current years images. But what would be a suitable long term storage solution including back up? My main backup is currently a 3TB nas drive, which is fine for backing up the current years drives, but if I continue using that in the same way as I currently use my main storage, that will soon be full to burst too.

I can currently afford another pair of 1TB drives, possibly 2TB at a stretch, if I can put them to use in any way.

What would your suggestions be?

A little bump for this. I did post late last night so it probably crept in under the radar..........
