Hi - not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but...

Is anyone aware whether you can still get photographs printed from APS cartridges? Similarly, can you now get these images transferred to CD/digital?

moved to correct section for you

Yeah, there seems to be, based on a quick bit of googlefu, plenty of places online that still do APS film, and scans.

Minolta used to sell scanners which took an APS adapter. (I have one). There are companies who will scan films for you, a quick search with google reveals costs of around £3 per film. If you have a lot of films then maybe a used scanner & APS adapter from ebay (or this forum) might be the answer.

Photo Express (my goto C41 processor, no involvement other than happy customer) will scan a previously processed APS roll for £3, or process and scan for £5. You can get a discount of 50p per film off the latter price as a TP member, give them your forum usewrname (not sure about scan-only).

There's a nice friendly mail order lab in Sheffield that can process it and scan it but your negs might come back sleeved.

Excuse my ignorance, but once processed, do the APS cartridges literally just hold 'normal' negatives... So could I open myself and scan..?

Just had a film dev'd at Photo Hippo (first in many many years), they do APS and choice of dev, dev & scan, or dev scan & prints and very reasonably priced, plus very quick turnaround.

IIRC the MiL gets her APS films D&P at Boots. Mind you, the last one she had done wasn't good, although I'm not sure that was a lab problem or user error!!!
