Yes
Being the 1st April, I wondered if anyone had spotted any suspected April fools jokes today.

Last year the TP Admin announced they were selling out, which I know got a few of us worried.

The only thing I saw today which I suspected as an April fools joke was that Alan Shearer was to become the Newcastle Manager until the end of the season. If it turned out that it was I guess that would be pretty cruel to the Newcastle fans (but funny) and he would probably be linched by them.

Radio 1 Chris Moyles did a great April Fools joke today. They announced at the beginning of the week that due to petrol prices going up on 1st April that they were asking petrol stations to offer half price petrol during Chris' show. The item was called April Fuels Day!

Loads of people phoned up to ask where in their area they could get this cheap petrol and were asked their name, location and then what day it was today. When they said April 1st the penny dropped! Very funny!:D:lol::D:lol:

BBC home page has a vid of a shark whale or something, supposed to be a new species but.........

I thought the same when I read that....

chris moyles is one big joke all year round

I agree the shearer thing has to be an april fool. Wishful thinking on some parts me thinks!

I thought that until I found out that skysports was on about it last night. I do hope it's true. But we defo have not got the easist of run of games for any of the teams fighting for survival.

Yeah I was watching the Shearer thing last night in Wetherspoons, not a very well timed April Fool's if it is one :p

Well I suspect over reaction to national retailer blunders may not be all it seems, whilst Alan Shearer rumours may or maynot genuine. Also, one website is carrying an F1 story, that some unnamed teams are appealing the legality of the KERS devices of other unnamed teams at this weekends race, a website known to run a topical fool every year, so I have my suspicions on that one...

Ah well if the news was released last night I guess its not, but only heard about it this morning hence my suspicions.

check out youtube

My boys were harping on last night that I wouldn't be able to fool them today. I burst into their rooms at 7.15am this morning (their usual time for getting up) telling them I had slept in and that it was 8.15am. I rushed around telling them they had very little time to get washed and dressed, have some breakfast, take the dogs out and get to school. It took almost twenty minutes before they noticed the time. :D

Oh, how I laughed.

That one works best if you change as many clocks as possible to the "new" time before starting the prank.

I considered making up a fake notice to staff and customers to put on Jessie's front door but I'm not sure if 1/2 of the staff there can read...

I received this one in the Experience Seminars newsletter.

Subject: Speeding fines

Thought you might be interested to know that following the UK Government's
freedom of information act you can now get access to ALL speed camera
offences registered in the last 12 months.
Did you know that every time your car goes past a speed camera, even 1mph
over the set limit, it is registered and put on a database? You only get a
ticket if you are way over the limit or, (this is the bit that I didn't
know) if you receive over 10 near misses, you will be classed as a serial
offender and get a ticket the next time you go just over the limit.
This is why you hear of people being done for 34mph in a 30mph limit area,
whilst others doing 39 do not. You can check what has been registered
against your vehicle at the following web address:

<http://www.i-database.co.uk/> www.i-database.co.uk

Just enter your car registration. If there is any data on your vehicle you
can click on the camera window to see a copy of the photograph.
Hope it's useful.
If the link doesn't work just put "i-database.co.uk" in google.
