Another question for Apple gurus,

I purchased my Mac Pro and Cinema display at the same time and purchased the AppleCare warranty for them this month.

Now, the desktop plan covers the monitor assuming it was part of the same order (which it was).

Question is, I'm going to put both on eBay separately. Now more than likely two different people will buy them so will person who buys the monitor for example have no AppleCare warranty or will both be covered?

I hope that actually makes sense to you all...

Thanks again for your help!

Did you purchase separate applecare for both products?
If so the applecare will be linked to the serial number of each item,so you will be fine selling them separate.

You can check on the apple website as to when warranty runs out.

Thanks for your reply.

I just purchased the AppleCare for the Mac Pro only, however this covers the display too since it was part of the same order. I had to give in the serial numbers of both products whilst registering the AppleCare over the phone.

So you reckon they'll be covered separately or would it be worth contacting Apple to confirm?

I think it will be covered separately as you have to give serial numbers for the applecare, but i would give Apple a ring to confirm.
Tell them your sister is having the monitor.

Will do thanks, they are listed separately on the site but it'd probably be better to confirm before stating that on the listing just incase.

LOL at the sister comment... :D
