Just installed my developers version into a virtual machine, and got to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised by the refresh in the user interface. It is subtle but it is there everywhere and it is rather a nice evolution....

My main interest is the tighter integration with iOS devices, but we'll see.

Anyone else running it on here? Any views/experiences that could be shared notwithstanding the NDA...

not running it (dont have a dev account) but loved the look of it during the conference demos.

looking forward to it, the ios integration looks really neat and has got me debating whether to do something that may break EULA..

What would that be out of interest?

I'm not sure it still does...I'm running it on VMWare Fusion locally, and also on a ESXi server....But yes I haven't looked to be honest...

mavericks server EULA:

However it also states:

B. Mac App Store License. If you obtained a license for the Apple Software from the Mac App
Store, then subject to the terms and conditions of this License and as permitted by the Mac App
Store Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms and Conditions (http://www.apple.com/legal/
itunes/ww/) (“Usage Rules”), you are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license:

(iii) to install, use and run up to two (2) additional copies or instances of the Apple
Software within virtual operating system environments on each Mac Computer you own
or control that is already running the Apple Software, for purposes of: (a) software
development; (b) testing during software development; (c) using OS X Server; or (d)
personal, non-commercial use.

So my read of that is that legally you are licensed to run virtual machines, but only on apple hardware....So my local VMWare Fusion copy is fine as it runs on my MacBook Air, but the esxi version runs on a HP Proliant and is not compliant with the terms....

then you're a very naughty boy...:naughty:

I know :) I'm sure I'm naughty in other areas as well. But hey my company is a registered developer and this is a beta build. No way I'm installing it on a physical machine just yet.

Took the plunge earlier this week to stick it on my home iMac - very stable from what I can see and haven't needed to jump back to the bootable HD copy I took before upgrading. Seems a little quicker that 10.9, probably because the graphics are cleaner!

I have to say I'm liking Swift so far.

I like the iCloud integration. It worked and migrated very well. Calendar and mail is also good.

Haven't tried VMware fusion yet, but I understand that it doesn't work yet.

Loving it. Handoff's especially useful - if I come across a webpage that might require a more complicated reply, while on the iPad, I can just bring it up on the MBP with a single click. Airdrop being (finally!) OS X/iOS compatible is similarly helpful, avoiding the fudge of sending the image/text file by email and opening it there - a subtle point, but elegant.

Of course, it is but the first beta, so not really something to recommend in general, but it's shaping up to be one of the most refined, useful updates of all.

Does anyone know if have Apple finally fixed the annoying auto ejection of USB connected disks resulting in the infamous 'Disk not ejected properly' message?
