Mine updated to 12.2 yesterday and nothing altered what I do so I guess you won't miss it until it eventually works or you do 12.3
Thanks Gramps, god knows why it won't download so will wait and hope on the next update.

I do have internet security, so should be fine till another update comes along.

By the sheerest of coincidences I'm in the process of upgrading my newly loaded Monterey to 12.2. Here's hoping it works!

Glad it worked for you, I have removed the update from my dock, so don't have to keep looking at a RED update sign.

“Internet security“ is generally not as good at protecting against an OS vulnerability as a property patched OS would be.
Your choice of course but, if it was me, I’d be working out why the update wasn’t working and sort it.

Apple tried to help yesterday but were stumped, so did some more Googling today and it said try it in Safe mode so now up to date.

I read it was gonna be slow, which is was, but mine updated fine. Seemed to have fixed my auto mounting problem that appeared after the previous update. Didn't quite fix my finder preview issue but hey. I guess it's safe mode time for you. Should be sound after that.

Interesting I didn't realise there was an update! Im still on 12.0.1!
But just trying to get it off the app store now and it just keeps searching
So now I guess ill google how to install in safe mode and see if I can get it that way

Ah just been reading this https://www.gottabemobile.com/macos-monterey-problems-5-things-you-need-to-know/ and tried the "turn it off and on again" suggestion and it's found it and is downloading.
