Apple iPod Touch Mains Charger

Hi

Does anyone know the best place to get a mains charger for the new iPod Touch - I've read some mains chargers won't work with the new version of the touch.

I know apple sell them, but £22 seems a little steep.

Not sure which version you've got but have you looked on amazon and ebay? I got one for the 32gb touch from amazon about £5 and it's a car and mains charger .

The new Touch 3rd Generation, I've seen some on Amazon, but seems to be hit and miss reading the reviews if they work with the latest version.

Any generic mains to USB adapter would do as well, then just plug your normal dock cable into it. For example:

Not genuine, but as good as. Bought myself the 'in-car' one for my iPhone a few days back

Thanks, I thought it would, but had read the latest versions of touch were picky and chargers working on 2nd generation, wouldn't charge a 3rd :shrug: possibly due to output

Cheers, I've also seen they have a plug only charger (just USB output socket, no cable) so shouldn't have a problem with cable fitment (mine has the new slim fiting, with no push lugs and hopefully the output will work (see above post).
