I saw this on 5th gear on monday, instead of using chrome on the engine he used 24k gold

tastelessness ? One thing that can be said, it won't be hard to see, it'll glint and you can give it a wide berth....
 
Well, maybe the car is interesting as a car, but that photo sucks. Sorry :D

I couldn't conceive of the car winning awards for anything nor could I think of any reason the image would win anything. Of the two, I thought the image was more likely which goes to show little I liked the car.

I'll make a note: next time I'm at Knockhill I'll ask if they could knock down some of the buildings if it looks as if they will clutter up the background of a shot :lol:

Why spend all that money when you could have spent the money on a decent car? I used to work in the car trade and it amazed me how many people came in saying they'd spent 000's on their cars yet weren't worth any more for it. Something like this is very much to one persons taste, I don't see a huge number of people wanting to buy it.
 
The french love it.. it's been in a few mag's over there.

I am glad that people are commenting on my pug 406, some may say that it’s a space ship and other people like it, which I may add is more than the ones that dislike it.

The main thing is as a show car, yes a show car that is going to Magny Cours, South Africa and Holland this car has been modified to the max and is no trailer queen. Also this car is going into the front cover of Addx France which is one of the biggest magazines in Europe for styling and performance.

Most people that go to cruises and want to comment on other peoples cars in a negative way are people that cannot look outside the box and understand to compete in shows throughout Europe you must be different.

In regards to the other comment of the body work being made out of stainless steal, the main reason for this is due to only one car in Britain had done this before, steel is a very hard engineering process and to gain the effect that has been created on the 406 it takes allot of craftsmanship. I would also add this car has no standard panels inside or out and does not contain a off the shelf bodykit with sum minor modifications to make it look individual. This kit is purely fabricated from 20 x 8ft x 4ft steel sheets.

However I would like thank everyone for there comments as the intention for this car was to create an effect that made people look at the car and this is what it does.....

the person that created that and stepped back and though 'yeh that looks good' should really get thier eyes testing, and presuming he did the work himself then really he should use his talents (which no doubt he has) elsewhere......


i just cannot see the attraction in these cars that look like they have been styled by a moron who thinks, 'yeh citroen saxo, nicely styled small french car, i bet i can improve on that' and then end up with something looking like R2D2's ball sack.

i think it won awards for "less curves in the bodykit than a DTM opel astra', closely followed by 2nd in class for 'most gratuitous looking car to be based on a nice looking original' (came second to the bloke in the saxo that drives up my road)

Dont forget the tyre barriers, catch fences, marshall's, other spectators, rubbish bins, other togs etc etc etc lol.

Very different and unique either creative or just mental asylum depending on your point of view/taste.
 
He spent all that time tarting it up and then did not put gas struts in to hold the bonnet up and show off the engine. A bit OTT for me. Actually looks like a boat hull upside down on wheels.

body made of steel - must weigh a few tonnes. not exactly perfomance, not exactly stylish! what is the point?
 
Can't say it's my cup of tea but you have to appreciate the effort & time they have put into the project. You can only imagine the time & expense for something that probably only matters to him, not knowing (or caring) if anybody else will like it. I respect that.
