Apparent letter from Canon to dealers in the UK describes EOS-1D Mark III AF plan

We've updated our June 19th article analysing EOS-1D Mark III autofocus performance to include the contents of a letter that's apparently being distributed by Canon to dealers in the UK, outlining the company's plan to halt shipments of the camera and take back existing stock from retailer shelves in that country.

Despite that letter it seems some uk dealers are still advertising the mk111 on the web sites. I've got so bored waiting for the camera to get fix, I've got a mk11n instead.

A friend of mine got Mk lll and after 2 weeks he sent it back and got his Mark ll back !
