App that itemises expenses into Excel?

Like most of us I hate going through expenses each year for my tax return, sifting through statements and putting various expenses into various excel columns for my accountant. takes forever and bores me rigid!

There must be an easier way to do this? Is there an app that I can add expenses too on the go in their various categories (ie travel, equipment, clothing etc) which I can then export to an Excel doc at the end of each year?

How about using Excel on your mobile device to enter the data in the first place?

Expensify? Xero does it as well as part of its accounts and there are others
