Aperture 3 - Watermark Scaling - Weird behaviour!!

Hi all

Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this for me.

I have installed the trial version of Aperture 3 and have been playing around with Export Presets.

I have created an Export Preset to export JPEGS with the width and height parameters set to 600px (therefore, its my understanding the max height and width will be 600px but constraints will be applied so as not to change the aspect ratio of the image).

I have created a transparent watermark (PSD) which is 300px x 50px. My problem is that regardless of whether I select the "Scale Watermark" checkbox or not, the watermark is stretched.

Can anyone explain why this would be. It is completely opposite behaviour to what all the notes on this functionality indicate.

Many thanks,
Geoff

I've not tried this yet, will try and do it tonight. That is a killer bug if it's always re-sizing. Aperture 2 worked correctly there.

Thanks Pete

Yeah its a real bummer! I dont think I am doing anything wrong! Its pretty straight forward I think!

Thanks

its completely ignoring watermarks for me. whether i select them or not, it isnt putting them on.

aperture 3 is BUGTASTIC!!! (but not as bad as ap2, and certainly not as bad as ap1)

i normally use a watermark of about 30% opacity in the bottom right of my web exports... when i upgraded the same file scales across the whole image--even with scaling off.

my workaround requires a constant image size and aspect ratio (no mixing landscape or portrait either). for my blog posts, this hasn't been an issue (see my blog for examples).

my images are landscapes sized to 700x466px, so i just made a transparent photoshop file at this size with my watermark already in the corner.

until this (embarrassing) bug is fixed, this should get the job done.
