is there any other photography software you have on your pc/laptop which you find usefull and use quite a lot I use cs5 but looking to get perfect photo suite as something else to learn with .

perfect photo suite 8 will be released in November and at the moment I believe they have special on to buy before launch.
I use it along with Lightroom and CS 6.
Some really good tutorials on there site also.

NIK and a few Topaz plug-ins used in conjunction with Lightroom.

The new OnOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 looks interesting.
I've watched a couple of their on-line demos and signed up for a beta version when it becomes available.
 
One I use is ACDSee pro, I really like it's version of the shadow/highlight tool, the newer versions are starting to look like lightroom a bit. (it's actually quite a decent bit of kit)
 
I've been using Perfect Photo Suite 7.5 for a few weeks and Perfect Effects 4 for a few months now, along with Lightroom 4.4. I would definitely recommend the suite. I'd also recommend looking at the demo videos here.

There's a free cut-down version of Perfect Effects 4 on the OnOne Software site. It's worth trying this out to see if you like working that way. It convinced me to buy the full version, and the fact that if you pre-order Perfect Photo Suite 8 you get version 7.5 to use in the meantime, also convinced me to buy that, too.
