Apart from photography, what other interests do you have?

After spending most of my childhood trying out so many things, I've settles on ...

Diving
Astronomy
Collecting vintage & limited edition pens
Photography

But it seems that photography is the one that's taking-up most of my time and budget these days.

i fart a lot.
is that a hobby?

It is a hobby, if you do it with passion and dedication

That aside, I guess you're one of those who's contributing to the Global warming :gag:

just googled :) no - not my thing - i'm reading authors like arthur c clarke, greg bear, michael moorcock, philip k **** and larry niven

I've probably read everything written by Arthur C. A fantastic author and scientist.

If you like his writing style, you may also like the novels by the late Carl Sagan . Again, to me, he's one of the best science & science-fiction authors there ever was, along with Isaac Asimov and Arthur C.

im guessing isaac asimov is russian?

Yes, he was born (relatively) near Moscow.

At the risk of taking the thread further off-topic, I'd like to add Ben Bova, Larry Niven and Fred Pohl to the list of authors.

(Edit)

As for Arthur C. Clarke, I consider Gentry Lee to be the Ken Rockwell of Science Fiction. Whatever that means...

I am a member of The Loddon Players (am dram) and wear a frock in public (Ugly Sister in this year's Panto Cinderella) just to embarrass the kids.

Motorsport - we race two F3 cars.

Cars - I'm rebuilding a mid engined Lancia for track work. Have access to a lot of other interesting machinery as well :D

Am Dram - I'm interested in the technical side of amdram - sound, lighting, sets, publicity. I do lights for about 5 different local groups.

I can combine photography with all of these which is nice.

I also enjoy reading, am interested in technology, science, travel (can't afford it), and good food.

Apart from photography I
Play online games (Currently EVE Online and just started red alert 3)
Tinker with other computer type stuff (Websites, hardware, not fussy really)
Tinker with the car a bit here and there
Read. Lots.

Discussing/reading politics(I lean towards the left kinda centre -left), weightlifting, reading on the paranormal, comics and cartoons and general cycling around the city.

FreeRide mountain biking - I ride a Orange Zero "pimp lime" green limited edition frame, custom build/spec :) cost me near 2 grand O.O lol.

Gym, and various sports like rock climbing when I can do it as a alternative :)

Casual Gaming - Xbox live 2 hours a night with some mates before heading to sleep for the next day.

Im a massive fan of anime/manga aswell I like to watch those as a past time when Ive nothing else to occupy my time. Heck I got my hair done like a anime char, google grimmjow in google images, thats my hair haha.

Where to start.....

I love music (I spend plenty of my own time doing it, as well as it being my full time job, as an Army musician, in the Light Cavalry Band). I play with a couple of rock groups, singing with one and playing drum kit in another. I'm also percussionist for Weymouth Concert Brass. I love fishing, and am a fully fledged 'carpy' (that means I spend days on the bank landingonly 1 or 2 decent fish ). I scuba dive when I have the time/money, and am a qualified Nitrox, deep and wreck diver with PADI.

Crikey Chris... I have to ask as you play for Weymouth CB, do you or anyone in your band frequent any brass forums...?

Hehe.... I don't tend to announce my other www interest that much to be honest, but am always interested in finding out who uses it when I stumble across people elsewhere... :)

I don't myself, and I don't know of anyone at work (a 30 or so strong wind band) that does either. Not so sure about WCB, a few may, but I don't work with them that often, mainly only for contests of this time of year when we're a bit quiter at work.
