Yes
Tomorrow Virgin are due to switch all its Mobile folk over to O2. Whether this is good or bad is debatable BUT I'll admit to being concerned about whether I'll have a working mobile phone tomorrow. I don't have a working Landline at present and no mobile could be a horrendous problem for me - over 80, a widow with limited mobility :(

All the real help/advice Virgin has given is to have phone fully charged and it should just happen. Then they made a comment that some folk will need new SIMcards :(

OK my phone is an iPhone 8+ and I'll ensure it's fully charged before I head to my bed tonight. A good friend in London [ I'm in what my husband always called civilisation in the North ;) ] has suggested that I should restart my phone while brewing my coffee tomorrow morning.

Does anyone else have any suggestions advice ? I'm not very technically minded and can struggle at times with the technology I have :( I'll admit to being a bit panicky about this

This might help.
I don't think I would worry ( says he optimistically) . I am up north in Gods own county I and have not received any notification so I will cross that bridge when I get there.

It appears to have gone smoothly :) I've had 2 texts in from O2UK giving me info such as my password for them and a welcome message.
The acceptance of my routine Covid test has also come in so I reckon that everything is OK :) Frankly for this oldie who is not very technically minded that is a relief :)
I'll be making an arranged phone call to my London based daughter shortly after 8 just as a final check [ Not sure who her personal mobile is with as she also has a works one which I do know is on EE]

Thanks for that, I will look forward to mine changing, there seem to be a couple of extra benefits ( more data), not that they will make much difference but they are a nice to have.

VM moved the wife and I over to O2 eighteen months ago as part of a deal I struck with them to not jump ship to Sky. I was apprehensive but it has been fine so we decided to stay with them when our contract finished last week. You do lose the option to call VM using 150 though.

Gonna see what deal I can get for the TV, landline and broadband tomorrow. Sky Stream is looking good but the broadband is a bit slow (compared to VM).
