Anyone using the Yongnuo YN-568EX TTL High Speed Flash on Nikon

Just wondering if anyone is using the new Yongnuo YN-568EX TTL on Nikon, and how they compare to an SB900, comments greatly appreciated.

Their is an ebay shop selling them HERE which says they are UK based, £127 though, i wondered how they would stack up against an SB900 presumably an SB900 would trigger them, i was hoping they would be nearer £100 though, as SB900's seem to go for around £220ish now.

The way I read the write-up it looks like an SB900 will trigger it. I think £127 is a very good price, however you don't get the coloured filters that come with an SB910 that I'm thinking of getting. In fact I could get 2 for less than the £292 SB910.:thinking:
 
I just read that they may have compatibility problems, with triggers other than Yongnuo, and I've just got pocket wizards, so they may not now be an option for me :|

Have you got PW Flex's?

They don't trigger the YN's, the best VFM option for you would be the Nissins, Which TBH offer more than the YN's so although they cost more, they're not bad VFM.

Although I'm not sure how the commander system works on Nikon's, having a Flash to control my PW's is useful on Canon.

If you only use manual PW's and not iTTL, then I can't imagine why they won't trigger any gun manually?
 
I got yn-568 mk11 for Christmas although mine is for canon
I've not long been into photography so my expertise is limited but in my opinion using it with my canon 430 mk11 I think it just as good if not better loads of functions hs sync if you need it plus my 430 triggered it of camera I use yn triggers
When I was looking into them I went on YouTube to find reviews I found that was really helpfull

For the price you be hard to find anything better in my opinion or I might be talking rubbish lol

So what would be the Nissan equivalent (or near as) to the yongnuo yn-568ex ?

The Nissin Di866 is slightly more powerful (although the reported GN's are a bit wobbly anyway - for all guns) and has a 2nd fill light on the front (very old school)

It does HSS, Rear curtain, ETTL II, Master and Slave mode (The Yongnuo only does slave) and old school auto flash.

They both also do optical triggering, the Canon flashes don't.

There's also a higher spec MG8000 designed for faster recycling without overheating (maybe a Quantum flash alternative) although I've seen no reviews of this - maybe Richard (Hoppy) has had his hands on one?
