Just wondering, my current HTC keyboard's gone faulty and I'm fancying this as an upgrade. I know it's windows mobile but that doesn't bother me, makes outlook integration less of an issue :)

Most interested in usability, any quirks, that sort of thing :)

I haven't used this device and i hope you do not mind me throwing my 2 cents in?
have you looked at getting a touch pro? (htc rhodium) which is the diamond 2 with a keyboard? as i noticed your integrate outlook, so a keyboard could be very beneficial as i know thats one thing that lets a few phones down for me.

The touch pro is one of the others I was looking at. I fancied getting away from the keyboard though as that's what's gone faulty on the one I have, S730 I think it is.

What would you consider is the benefit of the flip out kb instead of the on screen option? Genuine question :)

1) not there all the time, so you can use touch screen for general things such as opening a text, stopping an alarm etc
2) you get a bigger touch screen if the keyboard slides out :)
3) keyboard is slightly more protected from minor spillages etc.

and most of all for me is personal preference, i went from the iPhone to the HTC Dream (t-mobile G1)
im a htc nut :p

Ta :)

Got to say I'd never heard of them before I got this one about 2-3 years ago but it's been great. Only other brand I'd look at now though is S-E, but only if I had to :p

keep me posted on your decisions.

Went for the diamond2, should be here tomorrow.

I was tempted to wait for the SE but the price is going to be silly (sim free purchase) and it's a bit of a problem right now not having the 2 or 8 to dial out :p

I'm due a new phone and my shortlist is

HTC Diamond2 aka T-Mobile Compact V (Windows Mobile)
HTC Hero aka T-Mobile G2 Touch (Google Android)
and an Iphone 3G Jailbroken for T-Mobile.

Decisions....

Just arrived, personal opinion obviously but to me it looks so much nicer than the iPhone. Couldn't be bothered with the hassle, however small, of getting it to work on vodaphone anyway :)

Waiting for the battery to charge, tum te tum.
