I shoot with a Hasselblad H2 (4x4 format)+ PhaseOneP20 digiback and 3 HC lenses.

I originally planned to buy a back for my V system Blad 553elx and go digital MF that way, but when I had a small windfall money wise and went looking, I found an H2/P20/HC 80mm camera system for less than the cost of the backs available for the V system. And I have scrimped and saved, and sold my Canon gear, to fund the HC lenses 150 f3.2 / 210 f4 and my pride and joy, the 50-110 f3.5~4.5. I sold the 80mm to help do all this too. I'd love a 35 mm and a 300 mm too but it will have to wait for another windfall! :gag:

I love the resolution of the files and the detail they capture - I can only dream of larger sensors, maybe one day. . . . .

Anyone else using MF?
 
I've got a few MF bits:

Hasselblad 500CM, Hasselblad 503CX, 40mm CF FLE Distagon, 50mm CF Distagon, 80mm CB Planar, 150mm CF Sonnar, 180mm CF Sonnar, 250mm C T* Sonnar, 3x WLF, Magnifying Hood, PME-3 Prism, 3x A12 Backs, 2x A16 Backs, Phase One H10 Back, 2x 16mm Extension Tubes, 21mm Extension Tube, 55mm Extension Tube. Lens Hoods, filters etc.

Can you fit a modern digital back to a film front (I assume it's called)?

I know you can add a digital back to some Hasselblads - they are a comparative bargain for medium format quality

Phase One backs can be mounted on Mamiya 645 AFD (including the Phase One 645DF camera), Contax 645 and Hasselblad V interfaces (with appropriate interface panel);
the Hasselblad CFV backs fit V system blads;
The Leaf II backs are compatible with many brands (list here);
Sinar fit a range of cameras (list here).

And although they are costly, after the initial layout there is no more to spend. And cleaning the sensor is a piece of cake. You just take it off, there is the nice big sensor waiting for your tender ministrations (see pic - this is a P65 but they all look the same), you use the 2 fluids and pads and applicator supplied with the back, it takes about 1 minute and you are done.

Ed, that's a very nice collection you have there!

MasterTrinity - it's 120, so yes.

I do also still have an old Seagull TLR which has a surprisingly good lens but U haven't trotted it out for a while, I must admit.

I have a Rollei 6006 with 120, 220 & Polaroid backs, magnifier hood, 50, 80 & 120 Makro lenses, bellows, and several other bits and pieces, all now redundant.

There are some excellent photos there. Thanks for the link.

But you do have to realise the person behind the camera is more important once there is at least 'a minimal "pro" kit' to work with. Well, I can't afford it anyway :bang:

The 645D is a very fine camera and system. An Aussie tog did a review of it on a forum I am on (I hope non members can see this link) and quite a few users on GetDPI forum have commented in the Medium format section.

And it is, by comparison, very affordable
 
Well, I have a Lubitel 166U, a Yashica 124G and a Mamiya M645J.

They get exercised, though perhaps not as regularly as my other cameras in other formats, but that's as much a function of when and where I get to take pictures as anything else.
 
I've a pentax 645N, with 55mm and 75mm lenses. It's lovely. It's also a very silly camera in many ways! But mainly loooveeeellllyyyy!
