For those not in the know here is the link

Basically a picture style and support to get the most out of RAW images for post processing. I have just installed it and wonder if anyone is using and having any success?

From elsewhere on the web feedback is very positive for users of all cameras that can use picture styles...

from the page...

The Technicolor CineStyle™ is a Picture Style (profile) for Canon EOS DSLR cameras that optimizes the dynamic range in the image by leveraging the capabilities of the Canon imaging chipset. Cinematographers and their post-production partners will have greater flexibility in color grading and finishing their projects.

A video shot using it is here and I am trying to find some pics using a 40D - will have to do my own tomorrow!

If you shoot raw the picture styles are not applied. (although DPP will apply them if you ask)

If you shoot video on EOS you obviously don't get raw, from reading the blurb the setting is designed to give more wiggle room, they also said you should set it to really low saturation and contrast. This is with post work in mind so won't necessarily look good out of the camera.

So my take is if for some reason you can't shoot raw but want as much room as possible for post production work use their style. If you can shoot raw then just shoot raw.
