Anyone using an EF 70-200/2.8 II with a 1.x or 2x converter?

I know this an old thread but I will leave my experience here if anyone come across this thread .

I had the same concerns couple of months ago regarding 100-400mm + 1.4X or 2X extenders . I couldn't find a proper answer anywhere so I went ahead and bought 100-400mm cannon , Kenko 1.4 MC7 extender and Kenko 2x 300 PRO extender.

Here are some shots I took with above combos with 600D



100-400mm + 1.4 extender at 560mm , Hand held , Not post processed .



100-400 mm +2x extender at 800mm , With monopod , Sharpened with PS.
 
How's this for reviving an old thread..

Has anyone compared the 70-200/2.8 II with a 2x and a 100-400?

I am just wondering on quality and focussing speed.

just like to say.. I ahve the lens and the new latest 1.4x I dont have the x2 ...its brilliant... f4 loverly shots..been using it a lot lately no problem..
