Has anyone got or used the Canon SB-E2 Speedlight L Bracket. If so is it any good and is it worth the £130 ish that it costs.

What flash brackets do you use to shoot a wedding.

Any info greatly appreciated....

I have the SB-E2 Bracket and although its expensive it comes with the cable (which costs £40 by itself) is incredibly strong.

The 580 EX I/II literally bolts to the side of it for extra support of the head.

The thing is quite heavey but very manageable.

Just replied in another thread re this question. thanks for info I purchased another cheaper bracket but its not very stable and I wondered if the canon one fitted differently around the flashgun, sounds more stable for the money.

From what I've seen and what I've read recently I've come to the conclusion that the SB-E2 is indeed a well made and long lasting bit of kit but I'm not going to buy one...:nono:

I've been sold on the idea of rotating brackets that enable you to keep the flash above the camera at all times. The SB-E2 simply bolts the flash to the side, great for when your shooting in portrait orientation but not particularly good for landscape - casting side shadows...:gag:

Just my thoughts...

You can pick up a storoboframe copy (item 200252270027) off eBay for £15 and a compatible cable (item 190249016971) for £19

£35 all in vs hundreds of quids ?
