Hey guys, has anyone used Fujicolor Pro 160S? im going to be using it in the Mamiya for portraits this weekend as it was given to me to try.

would like to know what other peoples reviews are on it, if any

Cheers,
Raj

I tried a roll through a Mamiya RZ67 and 150mm lens recently and was very impressed with the latitude, tones and colour. Supposed to be excellent for portraits with very realistic skin tones.

Here's a shot I took with it:

Yep, I've used it and I find it to be pretty well-suited for portraits and outdoor work. I must admit though that I do prefer Kodak Portra 160NC for the same uses, but the Fuji is cheaper. Generally, I'd go for Fuji when shooting scenery, Portra for people.

Cheers for the reply guys, like the colours in the photo, tones are perfect. I'm a porta 160 user too, but was told to try the fuji

I agree with Eskimo, great latitude and tones. The slightly subdued colours are well suited for portrait and general use. It's a medium/low contrast film and captures subtle changes in tones well.

Thanks Mohican

I just flogged a few rolls of 160S in 120 size as I didn't think I'd be shooting MF for a while - doh :bonk:

It was my standard film for shooting weddings and portraits, beautiful skin tones.

I have just bought a few rolls and compared to Kodak Portra its a bit ****. The colours are not as nice but maybe I am just not scanning it very well
