I'm thinking of using Zenfolio to host some of my images. I like the layout, and it's been recommended by someone in a local photography group.

Just wondered if anyone else had any experience of, or opinions on, the site and the service? It will need to be very easy to use, if I'm to set it up myself!

Many thanks.

I've had the account on Zenfolio for a almost a year now...used another site before. But recently put my Sports photos up to ZEnfolio.

I think the price over there is reasonable, it sure is easy enough to use even for beginners. I also like the fact you can lock some galleries for private use or for clients only..
Also the layout looks nice and I like the Slideshow feature....

You probably can get all these from other websites as well, but I've used it and I can that I am happy with it.

(Feel free to have a look at how my site looks on the linky on my sig)

Thanks very much, GooGaBu.

I use Zenfolio and am very happy with it and consider its worth the money.
Easy to use, customize layouts, upload pictures of any size and easy to link to pictures.

Well recommended

Thanks Simon.

Great collection of images you've got there!

I Zenfolio and really like it. Easy to use, flexible and looks nice.

One thing you might want to consider if you or your viewers want to order prints is that they dont currently offer a service to the UK, although I believe thay are working on setting something up.

Thanks Dave. At the moment, I'm not even thinking of selling anything, it's just intended as somewhere people can find photos relating to a project I'm involved in.

Yep, its great. I really do think its worth the cash, saves so much hassle and time.

Thanks Martyn! There seems to be a good range of layouts and styles to choose from, all clean and simple which is what I like.

I assume that images need to resized and sharpened differently for putting on a website than they do for uploading onto this forum?

Cathy

Yeah thats true, but if I were you I'd just go with sharpening your full size images and use those. Zenfolio to keep its pics looking nice when it auto resizes everything and also, if you want then gimme a shout and I'll get you a promo code thing - it should save you a fiver or something... actually - hold up! FCE-FSS-D8Z tadaaaa! :)

Cheers Martyn for the advice re sharpening. And thanks for the code, but I've already got one from the guy who put me on to Zenfolio initially!
