Hello

I keep trying other photo editing and library software so see if they can replace LR CC.

I know I could just buy LR for a years subscription but I still kind of resent this and LR is very slow.

So I downloaded the trial version of Exposure 5 and like how it is similar to LR in layout.

Took me a while to work out that I had to press ' to preview the photo fullscreen and I miss having an Auto tone and an Auto setting preset but I presume you can get these.

So any longterm users care to share there experiences ?

thanks

I'm in the same boat as you, Justin. I tried out version 4 and then version 5 when it came out, and I really like where they're going with Exposure. When I finally ditch Lightroom I'll be getting Exposure. The Lightroom catalogue conversion works very well, and for me, that's a big selling point.

For what its worth, I reached out to their support team with a question and they got back to me VERY quickly and were extremely helpful and friendly, not something I'd necessarily say about Adobe.

Guys, at risk of sounding repetitive I'd definitely recommend On1 Photoraw - quite LR-like including keywording, auto-toning etc. Most recent versions will also recreate your LR edits in non-destructive format if you want it to.

I've just downloaded the free trial of this and its OK - its sooooooo difficult changing software though !

For instance if I want to view a photo full screen on LR i just press the F key - I just can't find out how to do that on On1

Y'know I've never done that in LR - every day is a school day.

Had a look and I don't think On1 does just give a true full screen view like Lightroom. F11 gets rid of the window toolbar but still leaves application controls around the outside.

I don't think there's a "one click" solution, but you can hide the left and right toolbars by clicking the rectangle at the extreme bottom left and right.
I've never missed a "Full Screen" view, but now you mention it, it would be a nice feature.
Just pressing the "F" key takes you to the filmstrip view but none of the Function keys do anything except for F11, which kinda freaks it out and toggles the taskbar on and off.
