Anyone use Avery J8676 Dvd Labels?

Having an absolute nightmare trying to get these printed, it should be so simple but Im just wasting sheet after sheet, and God knows how much ink!

Does anyone have a PSD template that actually works and will allow me to print a perfect DVD/CD label by copying an image of a predefined template area?

I have downloaded Avery's own DVD labels - they dont work
I have downloaded Avery's recommended software - it was miles out
I have downloaded a third party DVD label for my label size - doesnt work

Have you considered using inkjet printable discs? A much safer (and more professional) solution if you're giving discs to clients as labels can curl up and jam machines.

What Jim said, a disc capable printer is a much more professional and elegant solution, and considering a new printer is about the price of a set of cartridges, what's to lose?

I used to print onto DVD's using self adhesive labels like the ones you are tying to use. I had no real problem with alignment, but tended to have a slightly over large image for the background to compensate for any slight movement.

But although the result looked good the labels didn't fare well in CD/DVD readers. The heat caused distortion and buckling, plus I found the labels used to peel after a time. I opted to print direct on to DVD's. Much better and if you take the cost of the label into account cheaper as well.
