Getting a bit tired of waiting for a Multiblitz 'USPOT' to turn up secondhand, so wondered about getting one of these units?

These sort of spots were all the rage years ago, we used to make some to fit bowens flash. the big problem is the heat as you need the model lamp on full to see whats going on and the heat produced is a major drawback. the range of rosco gobo's is vast over 900 types all for around £ 6.00 each. if you get one cheap, its worth trying but you soon get tied of it and put it back on the shelve. when we launched ours at focus 12 years ago we had loads of interest, it had zoom lenses, fan cooled, came with 10 gobo's, set of coloured gels, all for £ 250.00, we sold 5 in 3 months total waist of time and money. best of luck David

It would only be for occasional use, just an extra tool to have available, very much like my Fresnel unit. I had an early Multiblitz one and have been missing it for the last 25 years.

Hi...you can use a lens...a flash...a home made adapter...and gobo (or home made ones) to get the same effect...people still do this...

If i can find the link Ill post it on...

HERE IS ONE...QUITE FUNKY...

Not too sure that I'd be that successful cobbling something like the item shown in the link onto the end of a 930ws flash head with a 650w halogen modeling light :D However, I could probably modify any of the older production optical spot/snoot/projectors that turn up 2nd hand from time to time.
