Didn't see them but sure heard them and I'm near Prescot. 40 miles away.Did anyone spot the two Jets flying over Cheshire, this afternoon about 2.30 pm? Or did anyone manage to get a photo? By the time I ran in to grab a camera, they were gone. Yes I know, I should always carry one on me.![]()
I am on the Cheshire border, near Runcorn. So possibly only about 10 miles away.Didn't see them but sure heard them and I'm near Prescot. 40 miles away.
They were not that high, I could have probably gotten a photo with my Fuji X10. I just did not have it with me, I had no camera with me.They will be back perhaps. R A F don't use random routes as far as I know, same paths. They fly over my place all the time but I have no decent long lenses
Just looked up a photo of the Tornado, yes could be. Certainly looked impressive, even scary. Not sure what was attached to the wings, I wonder if they are routinely armed?Couple of RAF Tornado GR4's stooging around about that time.

Real pity I did not get a photo, will have to get a pocket camera. If visible from a distance it would most likely be additional fuel "drop tanks" on the under-wing pylons.
Still impressed with the Tonka after all these years, I remember seeing the development aircraft at Farnborough and Greenham Common airshows!

That is the thing with those planes, they are so blooming quick.I'm based in North Wales and got a fleeting glimpse of them belting up the Dee estuary, no time to get a camera out!
Will pop over to facey now, and see if I can spot anything. If there are photos of them flying over Runcorn, it was probably taken by a neighbour. lolThey came directly over Runcorn, looked like flight path for Liverpool airport. Apparently it was scheduled landing practice. Didn't get a picture but destruction mylivingroom. There are a couple of photos on local Facebook groups.
