Basically the premise was that the magazines are promoting an unreal image of women through retouching and they should all feel happy with their bodies.

Of coure it ended up in true tv style with topless women on a bus around London, but what was interesting for me were the retouching graphic artists. Dawn didn't realise half of what they had done until they had a half/half comparison picture.

Worth a watch - at least the first half
 
I saw this a while ago, they must have repeated it.

I hope that a lot of impressionable young girls watched it and realised that what they see on the front covers and in magazines is not always the "real" thing and that if perfection is what they're after all they need is a very talented graphic artist!

Glad it was a nice day in London though, bit chilly otherwise :lol:
 
They did a similar campaign on BBC Radio 1 where they took regular pictures and then had the altered ones next to them. All about healthy image promotion..

In the 1950's BBC radio had a ventriloquist,:lol: one of their most popular shows.
