Annabel Williams Book of wedding & Portrait Photography?

Thinking about going on one of the courses she runs when I am up and about again (Just had surgery on my foot so stuck in bed for 4 weeks), and came across her book on Amazon when googling.

Is it any good and is it worth a read?

Can get a used copy for just over £3 which isnt too bad really

Dude... if it's £3 just buy it. £3 won't even buy you a pint these days!

George.

The cost is irrelevant to me really, I am looking for a good read to keep me occupied whilst stuck in bed so was wondering if this was a worthwhile read before I get it.

If not then will look for something else

Cheers

Ah, see at ourrugby club, it's £2.70 a pint (£2.50 for bitter) :D:D

I can still get a pint for £1.80ish in my local.... but lets not mention the pub hey, im stuck at home after having surgery on my foot and not going for a pint is killing me!!

deffo

Sweet, will get it then. Cocked up with the Annabel book though. The one for £3 is in America with a 2 week delivery so looks like I will be getting a new one for £12

Oh well some light reading to keep me busy.

Cheers

I've tried to resist but I just can't

If you're stuck in bed why don't you buy the Karma Sutra? :D

hahaha because at the moment I have pins sticking out of my foot and moving it is both difficult and painful.... So it sort of rules out any kama sutra reanactments

What it Heaven's name have you done to your foot, stamped on a hedgehog with attitude?

nah had to have surgery to realign my metatarsals as they were pulling my toes inwards under my foot so it hurt to walk and run etc. Surgeon has straightened them now so the toes dont look like a parrots foot curling around a branch! ha ha

Getting a little depressed now as this is day 13 stuck in bed. TV is crap and I really mean crap, and I havent been able to pick my camera up in ages so looking forward to getting up and about again!

Ouch!. My dad had that done too and it takes a while to be fully mobile so you have my sympathies.

I've got the book in question and it's pants! lol. Most of it was shot on film and it's actually more of a showcase than instructional. For weddings, Mark's book is far more of a beneficial read.

Actually, while you are laid up, you could do a lot worse than look at Mark's training website www.phototraining4U. It's got heaps of training content and although it's £200 for the year, there is a great library on there already and new content every week. Covers shooting, studio work, weddings, portraits, kit and photoshop. You aslo get £100 off a loxley album and £100 On-one software.

Might be well worth a look so you don't go mad with daytime telly.

Get well soon. :)

Thanks Ali

I point blank refuse the standard daytime TV ie Jeremy Kyle and loose women! My days are spent with the various discovery channels and sky sports news which is becoming a bit of a chore too. And there is only so much I can put up with looking at my laptop so dusted off my x box 360 and engrossing myself in the world of tiger woods golf! haha

Everyone I speak to says either their mum or dad has had this done, but they are all 50 + and I am only 29. Surgeon said I am a bit young for this so dread to think what my body has in store for me when I am older!!

Oh well thanks for the link, will go and have a wander now and see what its like :)

Ali,

Link is broken, you forgot to add the .com
tried .co.uk at first and it brought up a login box so tried .com and it worked so sorted now
