Just picked this up again on my laptop and getting totally addicted. Bit sad really. Someone take my laptop away so I can get on with life :lol:
 
Was considering it, but now Battlefield 3 is available for free download on Playstation Plus the opportunity to play anything else is out of the window!
 
I played it when it first came out - got to say it's not as good as Morrowind which IMO is one of the best games ever - they should remake it with modern graphics/modelling - would wipe the floor with Skyrim and their new Elder Scrolls MMO

I tried Morrowind, but didn't take to it at the time. Perhaps I ought to give it another go. I'm sure I've got a disc lying about somewhere.
 
I got Skyrim the day before it came out and I lived and breathed Skyrim for two months. I do have an addiction to the Bethesda RPGs like TES and Fallout.
 
Skyrim took over my life for a few months when it came out, i've also played all the addons, love it :)

Fallout 3 must be one of my all time favourites. Loved the music, atmosphere and a very involving story.

Morrowind is a vastly superior story and writing - there are the 3 guilds to join (fighter, magic, thieves), 3 major houses, Morag Tong, Camona Tong, Imperials - I'm sure there's a couple more - but all the plots intertwine, you may find yourself in compromising positions where working for one guild will make you unfavourable/kicked out of another
 
I waited until the bugfest of the PS3 version was playable, and then I was on it for a couple of months solid too. It sucked me in bigstyle.

I only deleted my masses of save data from the game last week - think there was about half a gig of it!
 
Loved it excellent game
Am playing oblivion now again think that's even better :)
Not played morrowind not on xbox unfortunately
The new elder scrolls game (can't remember what its called) is coming to the new xbox

Am torn on the next console always had xbox then after the licencing fiasco decided to go to Sony now not sure as Microsoft has backed down

Seemed to play it for months and months fantastic game, Currently engrossed in Dead (come on you metamorphosed mf let me cut your limbs off) space III. Hehehe theres nothing like a bit of alien dismemberment after a hard day at work

I think alot of 360 owners are facing the same dilemma Pete. Still got a few months left to decide mind!

Yes I even registered my gamertag with Sony as at the time id decided to go for the ps4 but now not so sure as I also really like Halo so it's not an easy choice:)

I keep saying i'll get skyrim but i just never pick it and buy it!

Ive got both the ps3 and 360 at the moment, not sure which one i'll be upgrading yet though.
 
RPGs on consoles is a sin IMO - especially elder scrolls where there are so many plug ins for pc - there are hundreds of hours of extra quests and story lines

That's what makes RPGs so unattractive on PCs. Infact, I can't think of one decent JRPG that is better on PC rather than a console.

Ni No Kuni on the PS3 blows anything the PC has to offer out of the water. Then again, most Playstation exclusives burn whatever the PC has to offer gaming wise.

Even Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle are better than anything the PC has to offer, and they're what?...x amount of years old!!

Don't think i've ever felt as scared as when i played the Dead space series of games at night, on my own, with surround sound, incredibly creepy stuff :D

I also recommend the 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R.' series of games and 'Mount n Blade'

extra playtime from fantastic mods, improved graphics (baseline) and scripts/skins/mods to make it even better again, more customisation, quicker big fixes all unattractive? I can see how :thinking:

for Morrowind so many home-devs wrote bug fixes and quite a few were (with permission) lifted and put into an official update

Maybe on a unified system. The PC, as a base, will never be that.

And regardless of how powerful a specific PC may be, it won't have Naughty Dog (or Sony Studios) developing games for it. Lucked out.

I picked up Skyrim a few weeks back and now play it at any available moment. I was the same with Farcry 3.

Just started a new Skyrim game. Previously played at lower difficulty levels (Adept), but new game I'm playing at Master. It's a totally different level of tension.
 
Skyrim with SkyUI is a must on PC, plus many other fantastic mods.

STALKER is also fantastic. I played the first one, it was buggy but enjoyable, unfortunately I no longer have time to play through the rest.

I played Morrowind when it came out. It was my first experience of RPG type games. Loved it. Loved it even more on the second go round when I found that you could cheat and enable God mode.

Skyrim was fun but agree it didn't have the multidimensional aspect of Morrowind. I found that I did all the side missions and that made me so powerful that the main mission was just a walkover in comparison.
 
I played it when it came out on the xbox 360, it sucked me in for a few months, playing a mage and sneak thief. Great game, really immersive.

Then stopped playing that because I started Dark Souls.... ridiculous game!!

As for the upgrade, I feel i'll probably go from xbox to PS4
 
Decent game, but seriously big!! I had it on the Ps3, now I'm playing Injustice :) awesome fighting game.
