Just wondering if there is anyone who lives out there on these forums as I wanted to ask a favour (It wont be really needed till June/July next year though)

I'm over there next June/July and would really like to borrow a tripod for 1 day as the only one I have is too bulky to take over and I would prefer not to have to buy one just for what will be about 3 photographs!!
 
I live on the island of Cyprus and through my work I often go to Paphos, tell us more!

I will let you know exact dates nearer the time. But it needs to be strong enough to hold a gripped D700 and atleast a 24-120 f4
 
Not sure if this is will be of any help, but when I went to Cyprus last year I packed my carbon fibre Redsnapper in my suitcase (it fit beautifully along the length of the case) and took the head seperately in hand luggage along with the 5D2 etc.

Only added about 1.5kilo to the case, still came in under the weight limit and still had plenty of room for a fortnights worth of clothes etc :)

Thanks Nick. Unfortunately my tripod is a bit old and weighs too much and would probably add about 5kilos to the suitcase. I can't justify buying one just for the tiny amount it would get used.
 
I did think of that but it won't be up high enough unless there is a conveinently places rock or wall, which we know will never happen!!!
