My son (24 ) is thinking of moving to Halifax, for what reason I don't know!!! What kind of town is it? Friendly and relatively safe or is moving there a bad idea.
Thank you

I think it is the same with any town/area there are good bits and bad bits. My daughter has been living in Clifton Nr Nottingham for 3 years. Now Clifton is not considered a "good area" but they have never had any problems.

No, im about 10 miles away, its one of those places that it you ever lived there and work or something else ever took you away you would never return to there.

Lived in Halifax for 10 years and recently moved back down South.

It's a centrally located place to be near to most locations, unless you have to travel to the UK extremities - lovely landscapes and architecture (Piece Hall, Wainhouse Tower and Dean Clough are great) and most of the locals are friendly.

House prices are IMO expensive for the area due to it being commuter-ville for Manchester and Leeds and there is a rough side to it, as with most places though.

it is no worse nor better than most northern towns. Some good areas, some bad. Only 10 mins from our beautiful countryside though.

Halifax town itself is quite small and compact, lots of nice areas surrounding, used to be a good nightlife.

ok thank you, he has decided to move there anyway, why I don't know, a girl ????????????????
