I'm going on a jaunt later this year which will include camping. Does anyone know of a good alternative source for recharging iPad/ laptop/mobile etc?
 
You can get solar powered chargers. Try Google.
 
Thanks Fox I'll take a look. I'm hoping someone who has one might comment on how good they actually are.

I only know they ae available, sorry.

However, I seem to remember the Gadget show looked at some a while ago. Reviews may still be on their website.

Maplin sells various solar chargers..

Used this one for charging my mobile and ipod etc...

For an ipad and laptop you need a larger Solar panel.. it to do with the wattage that determines the recharge rate...

Have a look around here..

Have a look at the power monkey stuff. One has a battery too and can be charged by mains too so if you pop into a pub you can plug it in. Also leave it out in the day and charge you gear at night when your around so don't have to leave your stuff alone while charging. There quite expensive at around £50 but they come with loads of adapters.
