Hi folks.

As you may well know if you've read the meeting forum, a mate and I are visiting Durham early on Sunday morning.

I know there are a few of you fellow north easterners who frequent this forum. Just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on the bext place to park for visiting the cathedral. Hoping to get an early morning shot of the classic view across the water looking up to the cathedral. I can't however remember where the best parking / angle is.

Any advice much appreciated.

Of course, if anyone fancies heading down there at about 7am on Sunday morning, myself and Stu would be happy to see you!

Cheers.

Anth.

last time I was there I parked infront of the cathedral...not sure you still can though :( (and I think it is part of the toll road thing now)

I had teacher called Durham! he used to go wild when we hummed the theme to the pink panther! :D

Aye, that's the thing I was wondering, with this new toll road thing.

Mate is driving and can't see it being busy at that time, so we'll probably blag our way around until we find a good spot to park!!!!

Sorry Anth just spotted this now, hope you found somewhere to park. Last time I went Durham was late aftenoon and parking was a nightmare. The Millburn gate carpark (I think thats what it called) is probs the best bet to get the shot you are after as it is on the same side of the water. I wish I could have joined you today but I'm out this afternoon shooting a model so getting the Mrs to agree to me going missing all day would be a no no :bang:

Durham no longer allows cars in the city centre, but it does have a good park and ride scheme.
