im trying to do this but it seems my Equipment isent good enought for it, i have a cannon 400D with a jessops Flash.

im wondering do i need to buy a New Camera or a New Flash??? i have an idear how to take the shot in BULB mode. just i cant seem to get my flash to trigger more than once.

any info will help links to site or even products to buy the things id need will help to.

thank you for your time.

Is this where you use a long shuuter and fire the flash multiple times? If so I use the little button on back of my Jessops flash to fire it manually, off camera, but it takes about 2-3 seconds to recharge before you can flash again. I'm sure there is a proper way of doing it though.

yeah thats the idear but as you say there is a proper way of doing it. as my flash is about 5 metters away from me so i can run over and flash it lol.

I think this is where you use multiple flash units and fire them via a wireless controller.
The idea (I see you are Canon user) is that you use a 580EX I/II as the master unit and 1 or more 430EX I/II's as slave units.
The 430EX cannot be used as master.
Someone else will correct me if I am wrong as I am slowly learning about this as well.

I know this is about a different flashgun / setup, but is the effect you are looking for?

I have played with this a few times and have had a few fun effects but no real use as yet!

I assume you are talking about something like this :-

This used the strobe function of the Canon 580EX flashgun where you can set it to fire repeatedly.

What it can't do is keep making flashes at full power so you have to set the power manually to something like 1/16th or 1/32nd. That way you will get many flashes before the gun can no longer keep up.

The shot above was taken in low light so as not to allow daylight to ruin the long exposure. As the flash power is low the ball had to be fairly close to the camera in order to expose it properly with a low powered flash pulse. kept me amused for a while :)
