Yes
I have a parkray fire which is only a few years old and I have noticed when the fire is out there are small wet patches at the rear of the ash-pan area.

The wet patches are small and seem sticky to the touch

Is my fire boiler leaking or is this something else ?

Have you been throwing `rubbish`/banana skins etc in the fire? (I used to)

I have done yeah.... Not sure exactly what or when but I do put food waste in but not much recently as its only on a few times a week when we want some water.

Sounds like you are using logs that are not seasoned, logs that are still full of sap will do as you describe

When was the flue last swept? it might be condensation in the flue as a result of it being partly blocked, a by product of which is creosote, a dark tar-like residue.

Definitely get it serviced by a registered HETAS contractor and the flue swept.

Years ago a local family were wiped out by lighting a Parkray with a blocked flue, after being away for a couple of weeks.

Carbon Monoxide is a killer.

Yeah the chimney is swept regularly and we have a vent and a carbon monoxide detector.

Thank you both for the ideas and suggestions.... I appreciate it.

The engineer who fitted the fire is coming to take a look
