Yes
I ordered an iMac from apple uk online which is due to be delivered in the next day or so, but today I've noticed pc world and amazon have reduced the model I have ordered.

Now I know there's a 2011 range due soon, that doesn't bother me, but paying more for something before I've even got it does :D

Anyone had success with apple customer services price matching? Theres a few threads about it on the net.

Think they will price match if you brought the machine within 14 days of the new price announcement

There is an event next Wednesday which will announce the ipad 2 but it could also give detailsbon new imacs or pricing

Amazon have dropped about 80gbp off and pc world and warehouse express between 20 and 30 gbp off compared to before the weekend

Thanks for the link Ivanovitch, and welcome to TP

Tesco have a bag of English apples for £1 if that helps......

Im not very impressed with Apple at the moment, my sons Imac is less than a year old, he only uses it to write music, and we have had to take it back to the Apple store in Bath 3 times now, with various faults, and now its gone again, it wont switch on at all now. Peice of junk, stick with the good old pc (my opionion only for what its worth)

Apple will replace the unit if it develops more than three faults if I remember correctly. Look it up.

Yeah, because PC's never go wrong do they.

Well, according to this independent report, Apple have top spot for the most reliable computers.

I'm not necessarily entirely convinced by that report's methodology, but PC World magazine seem to agree with them in their 2010 Reliability and Service Survey and Which? don't disagree either.

edit: I should add that I run about 40 Macs on our office network and I rarely have hardware reliability issues with them.

in a real corporate world (and in the UK unlike 2 of the above links) we've got better support out of dell business than apple.

replacement server psu - 4 hours from dell
acknowledging a display issue on several MBP - 4 weeks from apple

but now we're wandering off topic...

A very very quick call to apple following then arrival of the new unit resulted in a refund of £70.... To me that's fantastic customer service. I was on the phone for a whole 3 minutes !

what happens if you bring it after that

Well apple said they hadn't dropped prices and that they weren't aware of any imminent drops so I'll take that in good faith. If it drops after a few weeks it's hard luck.
It's more annoying to see it cheaper before it's been delivered.
