I started similar to you and the schools work just took over... struggling to keep up with the work at present. So the studio went out the window and became offices instead.

Business going ok up North?

I've nothing against them (and really know nothing about them). Business wise, I'm at my busiest since opening with shoots taking place every day, and fully booked weekends. I have two other photographers now taking bookings and hopefully a third to join, who is also a top salesman. He's a stubborn ass though and is holding out just now...

Managed to secure RBS as a client recently too which we are chuffed about, and a nursery and High School, which to be fair, I don't really enjoy due to the volume of work and lack of "processing free setup"....plan with schools is to plonk someone else in them.

Also got a potential massive deal with a business not far from me, which has literally thousands of customers who are exactly the type we want to target. We are trying to negotiate studio space on premises, but hit a brick wall after the person we were dealing with (and making great progress) left the company....

If I were to point out the single biggest failure since starting, it's a complete lack of organisation in the back office, it's a pain in the ass.
