Yes
I've seen these previously as a branded lens (very expensive), but some bright spark has come up with an adaptor that you just attach to the front of your lens.

Has anyone got one of these (if so, where from), or ever used one?

I've seen one on a US website for just over $40 including p&p which works out at around £20 on current exchange rates.

Worth getting one?

Would not have thought so for that money. OK if you want to take shots of the bikini babe next to you on the beach without her knowing.:woot:

looks like a great gadget. I also like that fact that it says it's for 18-55, but best used on focal lenghts of 75mm or greater.
- The Spy Right Angle Lens is simply screwed on to the front of the Canon EOS 300D 350D 400D standard EF-S 18-55mm lens, or any other lens with 58mm filter thread..
- To avoid vignetting the focal length of the lens should be 75mm and above.

Get a life! Just go out there and point the camera at the subject, smile and ask nicely

Alternatively remain a nerdy teenager and buy one.
I bet the mirror distorts the image something cronic

I'm not the bravest street photographer but I wouldn't consider something like that. Someone realises what you are doing with that and it could lead to violence :)

i cant help but think there is something wrong about using that?!!

Id go nuts if i found out someone was using it on me! Id rather they ask - more than likely id say yes anyway :)

 Strangely we were discussing these this evening whilst standing around waiting for the fireworks to start, and whilst I am not the bravest street photographer around [though I got MUCH braver tonight] even I would draw the line at one of these - I mean, either DO proper candids, or dont bother! ;)

Thanks for the comments guys/gals.

The main problem about asking people if you can take their photo is that they put on their "photo face" instead of acting naturally (which is what you wanted to capture in the first place).

Don't think I'll bother with this though.
