Yes
After much reading up and browsing i finally settled on a Metz 52 AF-1 (had originally ordered the 50, but someone beat me to the last one, now discontinued!!).
This i my first off camera flash, not including my antique film slr Praktica one!!
so still reading the manual/experimenting.
What i wanted to know is if anyone has one, and there is a 3rd party diffuser for these?
I spent over my budget as the 50 was my original choice, so not much money left and can't afford the £20+ for the Metz diffuser (MBM-02), but reading through the Metz website i believe the 44 AF-1 and 52 AF-1 both use the MBM-02.
So i search the usual websites for a diffuser for the 44 AF-1, but can only find this;

I can't find any reference on the Metz website for a 44 AF-4, so is this the same fit for the AF-1???
I'm assuming it is, but wanted to be 100% sure before parting with my precious £6!! :)

If money's tight, try a bounce card. Small piece of white card or paper, about the size of a playing card, and attach to the back of the head with a rubber band. Point the flash straight up to a white ceiling.

Works very well, basically the same principle as a diffuser cap :thumbs: See here www.abetterbouncecard.com

the flash has a built in bounce card, and a flip down diffuser, but thought the STOFEN type slip on ones were better, and you can also stick gels inside too! :thumbs:
