What sort of images best suit this? linky

I have a few shots I took when it was snowing (for the whole of a day) and was thinking of getting one done.

Has anyone done this?
Would you recommend it?

Thanks

George

I was considering either this or this
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can improve these before I send them off it would be great as well :)

And as a side note what sort of size would a shot from an EOS 5D scale to?

You will be able to print any size from your 5D. Give the lab a full res image and they can print VERY large prints from a 12.8 megapixel image. At larger sizes your resolution can be pretty low. I usually print my 13"x19" images at 180ppi (sometimes lower if I crop the original) and the images still look great.

I've printed 24x30s from a 20D with no problems either although the larger prints are best suited to viewing from normal range of a few feet (not close up viewing like a 6x4).

Regards the Frosted Acrylic I can't comment...... I'll leave that for others.

So no-one has done an acrylic print then? :(

Ah well there's always an opportunity to be a guinea pig :D

Any opinion of any work I should do to the shot(s) before I send one off?

The print isn't acrylic, they put an acrylic frame around it...

Oh..in that case anyone got any recommendations for a place to get an acrylic print

I am not sure what you want.

Do you want a print put onto canvas?

Do you want a photo printed onto a piece of plastic acrylic?

Do you want a photo printed using acrylic based ink?

Hiya,

Just noticed your question..if you print directly onto acrylic ( which can be done ) you don't get a photo realistic finish. Have a look at my website and it'll explain the process.

If you want to see a sample let me know.
