Have registered a domain today... also got some basic hosting. This gives me 15 pop3 accounts, but they are crap and come as username-1@pophost.123-reg.co.uk thru to username-15.

I want them to be myname@mydomain.co.uk but can't see if/how I can set them up differently, and the 123 customer service dude just copied and pasted a useless section of manual that is no use to me whatsoever.

Don't suppose there's anyone on here who can help? I don't seem to remember this problem with easyspace in the past and it was dead easy.

Hi 68,
I have domain names only registered with 123 and pointed to different webspace, where I have email set up and the websites hosted. This may be a solution but it would require you getting more websoace elsewhere and pointing the 123 nameservers to it

My domain names are registered with 123 but my website is hosted with photium. The domain name points to the 123 nameservers. 123 Reg is then set so if anyone sends an email to my sophotogenic domain name it is forwarded to my gmail account. Gmail is set so that I can send emails from the sophotogenic name as opposite to gmail. Ive always found 123 Reg to be pretty helpful so stick with them!

I see that 123-Reg don't offer refunds, which hardly inspires confidence. I would point elsewhere when your current hosting plan is up for renewal, and use alternative email addresses in the meantime.

thanks for the replies... have managed to sort now though :)
