No
I think it's in size of RyanAir Hand luggae
It has a bit where I can probably slip my laptop into.
The bottom bit my have enough room for my small bag with Nikon D90 Body and Nikon 18-200, which leaves me space for magazines, sandwiches etc.

Feels comfy and for £20 I think is good price for a rucksack is it not?

I had a shoulder bag last year but the weight started to hurt me and with a toddler as well, thinking a small rucksack would be better as long as I meet RyanAir rules.

will you have room for spare SD cards and batteries too? or can you slip those into the toddlers changing bag? i took my D90 and laptop in my kata backback to tunisa and it was ok. had to give the family chargers for both but was a little heavy.

I would be a bit concerned that things will get knocked but if you can protect them then imho go for it

chargers i'll put in hold luggage

the one i saw was green not orange, and apparently via website:
Product Depth 49 cm
Product Height 32 cm
Product Width 17 cm

i'll have the DSLR body and lens in it's own camera bag I have, a small one and then squeeze that in the rucksack for extra protection if it all fits.

my macbook white is relatively heavy on its own, and last year the shoulder bag was just hard to carry with the little one.

ok where are you going? and will you be on your own? it sounds like it? i think you may have a struggle. but i may be wrong and do they allowe you to take food on?

I have that very bag... And for twenty quid... You seriously cannot go wrong. Mines been everywhere with me.

7 days backpacking with school in Rome and sorrento, week running up and down the west coast of America, and it's greatest achievement was just last month, a week in morocco and the sahara on the back of a camel. And not once has it let me down. Flew with ryanair to morocco, it was checked in. Ooh went hiking in the peaks last year too, carried a 2 man tent, sleeping bag, kit for camping + food, plus some of my hiking partners toot cause the dippy girl over-packed. No longer my friend as she ruined my first trip on my own :) ;)

When in America, it carried my laptop, charger, canon 450D, 3 lens, not big ones, plus charger. Small SD camcorder, plus charger. Book, sketch pad and lightweight tripod. Flew with virgin, and i took it on easily as hand luggage.

I have the green one too :) superb bag. Was slightly skeptical when I first bought it but sooooo pleased now :D

If you have anymore questions just ask :)

norvic-boy, you need to get tesco to give you a commission. SOLD! I'm getting one tomorrow ;-)

I see it has a rain cover down the bottom which is a small added protection to camera gear ;-)

gumbo-67, thanks for your input. i was thinking when passed security it will have room for a bottle of water, sandwich etc.

:D

The rain cover has come in useful too! :)

How have you packed the lens? Can you buy inserts and make the full conversion to a camera bag? I am going to Tenerife in October and I'm looking for something, as I think my Billingham is too big!

got one. went in store thinking there was only green when i first looked but picked up a red one instead

i'm travelling light with gear d90 body and 18-200 lens. will be going in a smaller bag and that will go in this back pack.

i've tested it with it and have half the bag left for other bits and bobs, but i'm hoping to carry laptop, magazines, and food brought from within duty free area etc. along with toddler bits.

Back from my travels

Went through ryanair fine
Great bag for the price

Managed to slip my d90 18-200 in small camera bag at the bottom, laptop and the usual gubbins, phone, key, wallet, etc

also enough room for whsmith purchases inside, magazines, sandwich, crisps, bottle of water too ;-)

i think i saw and tried that bag and if it's for laptop only then it was ok, but the shoulder straps were thin and didn't seem that comfortable.

there is a smaller rucksack style to the one i brought but i'm not sure if the design inside is the same as the one i have has a section in the main compartment which seemed to fit the whole laptop which was good and the back and straps are more padded
