Anyone on here using one yet? If so, how do you think it performs, especially with regard to high ISO shots? The shots I have seen on other websites at high ISO's are not looking fantastic at the moment!

As a K5 owner I don't see the need to upgrade, at least not for me. I think it is dependent on the genre of shooting you do. it seems ad excellent upgrade for sports togs. It's price at launch is also off putting to me, the equivalent Nikon the D7100 is way cheaper. The ISO performance of the K5 is more than adequate in most circumstances and cramming more pixels on the sensor will not help high ISO shots.

I am also a K-5 owner, I skipped both the K-5II/s. Not enough of an upgrade to justify the money. But now with the K-3, it is on it's way, should be here tomorrow!! But I would have to disagree for comparing it to the D7100. Before the announcement of the K-3 I saw that many websites and youtube videos (just for example Digitalrev TV) comparing the D7100 to K-5IIs. Most said they are fairly even matched as far as quality and features being the only real difference the Megapixel, Number of auto-focus points, and the brand name. But when compared for the auto-focus in low light the K-5IIs won out. And now with the K-3 just coming out I see more people comparing it to the D600 (about $1,800) so the price is looking a lot better and what was said about that comparison? "The K-3 sweeped away the D600". Just my opinion: I think it will be competing more with the D800, but only time will tell.

I'm also tempted to get one, but want to wait to see if any issues/bugs/areas of concern get highlighted by early users.....and how quickly the price drops. ;) Like Steve said, I'm sure that 50% more pixels is hindering the high ISO performance, but I want to see to what degree! :( The other 'fly in the ointment' is the apparent confirmation  that there will be a full-frame on offer by Photokina next September!! Would be just my luck that having waited years for a Pentax FF, I decide to buy the K3 and the FF (finally) arrives just a few months later!!

First proper review I've seen.....and the good news is.......he really likes it, even the high ISO performance!! :) :D

I am torn between the K3, 70D and D7100. The K3 is winning right now on build quality alone, it seems a very robust camera. With the 7D mkII likely to be announced this year I may even wait to see what happens with the 7D prices. I have the benefit of patience and am happy enough with the SX50 to wait. All that said the K3 is on my short list for an upgrade.
