Anyone got a Panasonic TZ57? Or other compact suggestions.

Yes
Been looking for a low cost compact that I can fit in my pocket. Was wondering if anyone has used this camera and what they think of it?

I'm trying to keep the price under £150 but preferably closer to £100 and want something with some zoom and manual exposure options instead of all auto.

FWIW I bought a Canon S120 a few years ago and on balance have found it a good package but no idea what the 'current' model would be?

I have been trading in my kit for the Fuji X, but I gave my TZ57 to the wife. A good little camera with a good zoom and a nice screen that flips up.

The s120 is out of my budget, but had a look at the s110 and that looks interesting and maybe even under £100!
Edit: Maybe not, seems I was looking at faulty ones lol

Sorry, I did not recall how much I paid (will have to look it up) and thought it was in the range you mentioned.

No problem, went a bit further back and started looking at the S100. Definitely in budget, and very impressive low light performance for a compact from looking through flickr.
Well looks like the price has had one heck of a jump :(

In July 2015 I bought it from Amazon for £209 , so staggering to me that it is now £349 !!!

wow, it looks like you got an absolute bargain.

Seems so as I would not have justified the £349, I think at the time I like you was 'looking' at £150 but was struggling to find something 'just right' so upped the budget based on specs and my planned requirements.

Hi! I have a Panasonic Lumix TZ55. I got it from Amazon in November 2015 for £109. The price shot up a few months later - no idea why. I've been very pleased with it. It has manual and semi-manual modes, loads of scene modes and I like the in-camera 'retouch' facility:)! It seems very similar to the TZ57.

Well done, Orangecroc:)! Great price! Please give us a review when you've had a chance to try it out. Good luck!
