I have tired numerous times to clone this lamppost out of this photograph without success.
Its not the end of the world but I think it would look perfect without it!

Would someone mind having a go ?

Thanks the tiles really do confuse photoshop! I plan to raise the shadows a tad before I reprint this. I've seen the interior photographs from 2008 and it is quite interesting, its horrible to see its decline from this interior shot though . Its criminal how long this building's been left to decay.

Hope you dont mind i like this photo and i got a bit carried away and revamped it..SORRY..:|

Its a lovely shot isnt it! Its the best "old" image I've found of the cinema (1989) This allong with the above linked shot and a few others are allscanned prints of 6x6 shots.

How about this?

It's the full size one.

It looks better when not scaled by your browser.

Absolutely incredible work there, I cant find one single fault!

Yes it's a shame to see the place in that state, I really cant understand why nobody has opened it as a pub or bingo hall, the place will fall down (or burn down) then it's a piece of history gone forever.

Well if that had been done 10 years back it would be fine!, but its been left so long it will cost a fortune to fix her up at the moment.

The local council own it currently and have done since late 2009, more on my website!

I find content aware brilliant for filling in around the edges if you straighten and crop and find you have spaces at the corners, providing they are small otherwise it tells me I don't have enough memory to run it, I would really like to know how they get it to look so good in their demonstrations as I never can

Well if I was considering getting CS5 on the strength of CA this would convince me not too :)

Why? it's done a pretty good job for an automated patching tool, the tiles are not the easiest thing for it to work out.

Christine you could try selecting the areas one at a time

I was going to say, its one hell of a tricky thing, im still shocked at how well
"vision graphix" managed to do it.

Oh I am not denying it's a clever function but that leaving it to it's own devices isn't always going to be a substitute for manual work in some cases. In this case someone has done a better job that CA did which is why I was suggesting your version isn't a good ad for it. Nothing against your own work which is good - just the limitations of CA.

Thanks, it took 30 mins with the clone tool and paint brush, all manual.
