I was thinking of heading down to Cornwall lizard/kynance cove area next week for a few days shooting and was wondering if any togs on here were from that area.

Looks like i'm going to get nice sunny weather , so planning on doing a few 4.30-6.30 am and 8-10pm sessions at kynance cove.

Does anyone have any advice such as good settings (f11/iso100 ) any other locations worth heading too, any help appreciated.

Not now - but i lived down there for a year in 1996

settings - whatever works as for the weather

other locations- poltesco (ignore the 'king skim link), lizard point, mullion harbour, poldhu cove, carne creek, the helford valley , loe bar (and penrose estate generally), predanack wollas , Praa sands etc

Well mon-weds is fair in the evening, so with the chance of cloud should be better for getting some nice colours.

Just checked the tide times and it's all going to be low tide, so more chance to walk out a bit more.

Would you suggest shooting on the beach or getting up on the cliff path to the left of the shop?

It depends what you want , but i'd shoot from the cliff path personally

I guess as it's going to be low tide sunrise and sunset then i'm not going to have the opportunity to get those milky water shots.

From my memory from last year i'm thinking of going to get onto the cliff to the left of the shop (standing on the beach looking at the shop) as the sun should be rising from the lizard then going right towards me?

I don't really have any plans for this shoot, it's more i'm at the location so might as well make the most of the opportunity, however i would quite like to do something with reflections in the water if possible.

The Photographer's Ephemeris http://photoephemeris.com/ will tell you exactly where the Sun will rise so you can plan exactly where to set up.
