Hi,

I was given an Agfa Isolette II a couple of years ago through Freecycle along with a couple of other cameras. When I got it I found that there was already a film in it so completed the roll (only 1 shot I think) and removed the film. Since then, I've put my own films through the camera and have sold it on through lack of use but I found the original film I removed from it yesterday! I haven't got anyone near me that can develop 120 film any more but rather than binning the film I was wondering of anybody fancied developing it out of interest to see what's on it?

The film is Kodak Verichrome Pan and has been kept in a cool dark cupboard since I removed it from the camera but I've got no idea how long it had been in the camera?

If anyone can develop it, I'm happy to pay postage and send it on. By the way, this was the last shot I took on the Isolette before I sold it;

I'll have a crack at it if you want?

Asha would be a good candidate, but I'd also be interested in dev'ing it if you want. I use T-Max Developer.

Thanks for the offers :0) To be honest, I'm happy for anyone to dev it and am just really interested in seeing exactly what's on it!

If you pm me your address for sending it out I'll post it to the first one I get.

Cheers
Steve

I'll leave it to Asha - for something like this, I would prefer for someone who has experience as priority.

No problem, thanks for the offer though.

Rob, I've just replied to your pm. I'll post the film off tomorrow.

Cheers
Steve

I had a roll of Verichrome in camera I was given a few weeks back. Sent it off to The Darkroom in Cheltenham cos I wanted someone else to do it but I could have processed it at home in Rodinal by all accounts.

It had this on it amongst other similar stuff..

The car is from 1968 so the film was probably late 60's early 70's.

Happy to give yours a go if you haven't got anything sorted yet.

Thanks for your offer Nick but Rob got in before you :0)

That's an excellent shot above, fingers crossed there's some equally interesting shots on my film!

Cheers

I've only just seen the message from you steve....thanks very much for the offer...As has been said, I do enjoy searching out old films.
Best of luck Rob with the dev.....do let us know what results you get ( if any!)

Will do! Quite looking forward to the challenge :D

The film has arrived, judging by the envelope the posture have been playing football with it. The roll itself looks a little battered but still light tight though :) will get it devved over the next week or two...

Glad it got there (almost) safely. I didn't have a jiffy bag to hand so sent it in the standard envelope hoping it would be too small to suffer any major damage...maybe I was wrong!

Looking forward to seeing if there's anything interesting on there :0)

Got the film on the reel and into the tank, might dev it tomorrow :) but b****r me, was the hardest film I've ever put on a reel, incredibly tightly wound and flimsy backing, took me about 20 minutes to get the sod on there :D

You're probably regretting the offer to dev it now! Just hope there are some interesting shots to show for your efforts!

Cheers

I like experimenting, so it's all fun and games :) I won't be able to scan for a while after my laptop had a terminal failure and I'm still waiting for my new pc to arrive (then put it together) :)

Oh dear terminal failures aren't good news....hope the same doesn't happen to the film although it seems it might be half dead already due to postal service! lol
I reckon you'll be pleasantly surprised at the results....film is tougher than many of us believe ....can't wait to see em!

Good news everyone, we have images :D :D the negatives are hanging up to dry at the moment, might scan tomorrow :) but from a quick look over, it looks like someones holiday photos, then the last couple of frames are unexposed (frame numbers are still there)

Nice one Rob, thanks for that :0)

I'll try and get back in touch with the couple who passed the Isolette onto me in the first place if there's anything recognisable!

Cheers

No worries :) it's been an experience :P

Thanks for scanning them in Rob, really interesting to see the results, wonder where they were taken?

No worries Steve, helps me develop my developing :D

erm an older lady in some naughty poses :) and triple stamps at the garage could be "green shield"

Are they scanned backwards? The type on the signs in #4 is the wrong way round!

Judging by the cars, fashion and the actual film, these would have been taken around the early to mid 70's. Easy to help narrow down because kodak didnt use metal spools much after that :)

The where will be difficult, the photos of the seafront could be literally any seaside town in the UK :/

That could cause an interesting response if Steve shows them the shots of the "naughty" lady  lol

He should ask if they have any other rolls that need developing!!

Lol, maybe I won't actually get back in touch with the mid-70 year old couple who kindly donated their parents' old camera to me....."Here's your parents making smutty shots on holiday!"

Cheers for the effort though Rob, much appreciated. :0)

P.S. I did have to go wash my eyes out with soap and water. I still feel a bit wrong now tbh.

Tell me about it, i had a load of students viewing our house when this popped up on screen from the scanner... Don't think they'll be moving in...
